Espace Louis Vuitton Tokyo - Cerith Wyn Evans

The Espace Louis Vuitton Tokyo is pleased to announce the presentation of L>espace)(..., an exclusive exhibition of Welsh artist Cerith Wyn Evans’s works.
Cerith Wyn Evans, while initially recognized for showcasing the use of light, has developed a unique sculptural oeuvre, transposing movements, texts, sounds or exploring the limits of visibility and the manifestation of forms in space. Spectacular in dimension, his works are executed with the distance born of his encyclopaedic knowledge of conceptual art, building a labyrinth of meanings, presented as often-indecipherable enigmas inspired by post-symbolist and avant-garde literature. This mysterious and poetic exhibition takes part of the “hors-les-murs” programme of the Fondation Louis Vuitton.

ESPACE LOUIS VUITTON TOKYO

The Espace Louis Vuitton Tokyo is an art venue located on the seventh floor of Louis Vuitton Omotesando Building exclusively devoted to the exhibitions organized in the framework of the specific “Hors-les-murs” programme developed by the Fondation Louis Vuitton, a cultural and artistic French institution dedicated to contemporary art, artists, and the works that inspired them. This ongoing programme presenting the artworks from its Collection unfolds at the Espaces Louis Vuitton located in Tokyo, Munich, Venice, Beijing, Seoul and Osaka, with the goal of bringing the Collection to a broad audience around the world. Since its opening, the project has welcomed countless visitors to the spacious, airy venue.
