Antique Upcycle Project

This is an exhibition by Valuens Japan K.K., which is engaged in the reuse business of various commercial materials such as brands, precious metals, and antiques, and by art students and artists who utilize discarded or waste materials as materials for their works.
This will be an attempt to transform antique commercial materials, which are usually sold and consumed at low prices at the company's own auctions, into a different value by "upcycling" them by the creators. In this attempt, inexpensive objects are transformed into one-of-a-kind works of art through "bricolage".

BRAND / CREATOR

Valuence Japan Inc.

We created a new approach to the reuse market, believing in the attractiveness and the potential of this business model that creates new associations with the value of goods. In 2007, we opened our first location in a tiny space in Osaka City. In 2011, we established SOU Inc. continuing to grow the purchasing and sales of luxury brand goods, antiques, and art objects up to our 2018 initial public offering on the Mothers section of the Tokyo Stock Exchange. In March 2020, we declared a second founding, embarking on a new start as the Valuence Group. Under this new identity, we are aiming for even greater growth, leveraging–and sometimes even forgetting–lessons from our experiences to date. We are focused on providing life-changing value to the world, striving to create a world in which we encourage all people to live true to themselves.
