The pre-exhibition from the main KOGEI Next exhibition which will be held on 5 and 6 November. KOGEI Next is a movement to realize the next form of craft that has a new value, not just a product, created through works and activities, involvement with the natural environment and social issues by connecting craftspeople and modern society, which has been less involved in the past. The works here are made with gold 100% from urban mine, that raise a question about relationship between Japanese craft, environment and society.

Kenji Toki explores modern expressions of an ancient art form. The artist has exhibited across Japan and his work is in the public collections of many international museums including The Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York and the Victoria and Albert Museum in London.
HIkoju Makie is a professional lacquering craftsmen team. Use the thousand year of lacquer technology of Japan, and produce the natural lacquer artworks with 100% handmade.1987 Born in Japan
