“Creating with small discoveries from nature” is Mitosaya’s motto. This distillery was established at a former herb garden in Chiba prefecture by Hiroshi Eguchi in 2017, using distillation techniques he studied in Germany. Their signature item is Eau De Vie (French for water of life), a distilled liquor made from fruits and grains. Mitosaya means fruit and pod in Japanese, and they use all of nature’s gifts – from leaves to roots, seeds and bushes – to create items that cannot be made elsewhere.
