Transformation Bags
The Transformation Bags series plays on geometry to create sculptural forms that can transform into a flat object. The OMO Transformation Bag is a version that was produced in collaboration with Fani Atmanti and wood carvers of Nias island. It uses upcycled native Afoa wood. OMO hopes to keep craft and tradition relevant to our homogenising global culture.
A special edition of Transformation Bag made using Fine Flute coloured corrugated cardboard, supported by TAKEO Co. Ltd., will be on view during Designart Tokyo. The exhibition display is made using Graydan supported by Oji Design. Special thanks to Tomomi Nagayama.
