When people communicate without being face to face and lip to lip this condition sometimes makes it easier to hide their true emotions and intentions. Jun’s sculpture TWOLIPS has a strong universal concept which attempts to show the emotions of love and respect inherent in all animals.

Born in Tokyo. Jun Funahashi is a mixed media artist based in New York City. Jun’s core concept is naturalism and humanism. Before Jun became a mixed media artist, she was a jewelry designer. In the past, Jun has collaborated with fashion designers such as Custo Barcelona and Lost Art. Some of her pieces were also worn by Lenny Kravitz for GAP campaigns, some of his music videos, and performances. Jun currently is enrolled at Art Institute of Chicago in ordered to challenge herself into a new world by using various mixed media. Her passion is to deliver her core concept through her art to the universe.
